Pir Syed Riaz Hussain Shah is the Pakistan based Islamic Scholar of Sufi Naqashbandi School of thought. He is Speaker and Public Orator. He translated Holy Quan Urdu , English & Hindko Languages. He is writing Tafseer too & Tafseer of 18 Parahs have been published. He has written Several other books including a dictionary and α book on Sufism. Syed Riaz Hussain Shah sb is the Patron in chief of the Modern Education System named AIMS which has many branches in Various cities of Pakistan. Shah Sb adress people every Friday and also delivers a very impactful sermon of Jummah in Ittefaq Masjid Lahore. TABSIRA, is the title of Quranic Exegesis (tafseer) by Syed Riaz Hussain Shah. The Quranic Interpretation or tafseer has a history as long as that of Islam itself. Prophet Muhammad (SAAW) himself was the supreme exegete, who gave precise and clear explanations of the verses of Holy Quran. After his departure from this world, his Companions and Aa’imma Ahlebait became the first and foremost interpreters of the Holy Book because they had the advantage of not only being aware of the circumstances in which the Quran was revealed but also had the knowledge through direct communication with the Holy Prophet (SAAW) about the reasons and places of the revealed verses. Later on, in the 2nd and 3rd centuries (A.H.), the exegete scholars had started producing tafaseer from the perspective of the prevailing socio political, religious and spiritual environment and requirements of their respective time and place with a proper and elaborated mechanism of references to the sources of their versions. This not only widened the scope and dimensions of tafseer but also gave birth to some essential disciplines to undertake such assignments. Shaykh Yasir Qadhi, in his book; “An Introduction to the Sciences of the Quran” says, “The Quran is like a treasure trapped in a glass receptacle; mankind can view and benefit from this treasure, but they are in need of tafseer, for tafseer acts like the key that unlocks the treasure, so that mankind can benefit from it to the greatest possible extent.” Thus, according to Uloom al Quran, tafseer was defined as “the science by which the Quran is understood, its meanings explained, and its rulings derived”

His intellect and talent is free from the shackles of restricted boundaries prescribed and adopted by some specifically prejudiced religious madrassa school of thought. He is rather an enlightened personality equipped with not only traditional madrassa education but also is a graduate from Gordon College Rawalpindi as well as holder of an MBA degree from IBA Karachi. Besides that, he has also passed through the processes of spiritual paths and disciplines of the Naqshbandia, Chishtia, Qadria and Suhrwardia schools of thoughts with authorization to accept baiyat in all the above mentioned four major salasil of mysticism. Right from his school life he had an inherent inclination for solitude and contemplation. Particularly in full moon nights as well as in the starry moonless nights, he used to spend hours and hours in mountains and jungles to ponder about stars, moon and universe and meditating about his own relevance being a man, with these objects of Nature and above all the Ultimate Reality. This deep-seated restlessness had almost brought him to the verge of deranged ecstatic status of majzoobiat, when a spiritually elevated sage came to his rescue. This spiritual master was apparently a very simple person but with his strong mystical caliber and experience he effectuated a total transformation of author’s personality. TABSIRA is an outcome of the academic, religious and spiritual experiences of the author which enabled him to benefit from rich and diverse sources of knowledge of both physical and metaphysical domains.
As a righteous figure, he clearly demarcates the boundaries between right and the wrong without any ambiguity; therefore, sometimes he becomes the target of narrow-minded intellectual pigmies, but his intellectual superiority dominates over his adversaries. A very significant feature of his approach as an exegete or mufassir has been the candid and bold reliance on the views of Ahlebait along with other sunni sources, thus his tafseer transcends the limits and barriers of sectarian prejudices and controversies. So far Syed Riaz Hussain Shah has been able to bring forth 8 volumes of his tafseer covering upto Sura IBRAHIM (Para 14). As a spiritual guide for his disciples, his emphasis has always been on a consistent relationship with Quran and Remembrance of Allah (i.e. dhikr) without moving one’s tongue. According to his teachings, silent remembrance of Allah (SWT) is the key to spiritual elevation in the mystical path. His spellbinding intellectual eloquence is at its peak in TABSIRA when he relates the descriptions and meanings of verses of Holy Quran with views of the pious figures of Ahlebait which not only indicates his boundless devotion to the Holy Prophet and his family but also reveals the actual sources of his spiritual strength and inspiration. As evident from the contents of TABSIRA and his teachings, the persistent pearl of wisdom imparted by him to his disciples is to keep always engaged with Quran, Quran and Quran and love for Maula Ali Haider-i-Karrar, the most loved person by the Holy Prophet (SAAW). He proclaims emphatically that Quran is HAQ, and as the Holy Prophet (SAAW) pronounced, HAQ is with Ali, so Quran is with Ali and Ali is with Quran, therefore Quran and Ali are inseparable.
